Default The Lemmy Tribute thread

Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister (24/12/45 - 28/12/15)

I think it's about time we had a thread to celebrate and talk about the man who was so important and so influential in Heavy Metal, and who seemed like he would live forever. Post your thoughts, how he influenced you and/or your band, where you saw him, discuss what Motorhead or Hawkwind albums you prefer, or hell, just raise a glass and salute the man who was Heavy Metal.

i never really gave Motorhead enough time honestly. i've listened to a few of the bigger albums and a lot of comps, but they have so material i haven't bothered with that i still need to hear.

anyway, he was possibly my favourite personality in all of metal music and out of all the musicians who passed away last year he might have been the one who hit me the hardest (toss up with Bowie though, really.)

must watch documentary for anyone who hasn't seen it yet:

Sadly, it wasn't last year. It's been a year already.
