I would like to add, That Seether is one of my all time favorite bands. I like to listen to every song on their albums. In my opinion, Seether is a lot better band than Nirvana, Maybe becuse Alternative/Modern Rock has progressed since the Seattle scene of the 90s. Which to me, would seem to only make sense? I dont like every song on Nirvana's albums, not as many as I do Seethers anyway. And as far as the self-hating & angry lyric's, For me, they seem to hit home, atleast a lot of them, from experince's Ive delt with through the years. Dealing with drugs, music, love, etc./ quote:The Gift-Seether, "Im outta reason to believe in me" -" Im so afraid of the gift you give me, "I dont belong here, & Im not well".-"Im so ashamed of the lie Im living". As a few examples. (And Im 46yrs old). As a songwriter, Kurt Cobain. (in my own opinion) Will be recognized in years to come, as a great songerwriter, He had the ability, without any second thought about it. He was able to tell on himself. Which is one of the quality's, of a good writer. I always thought that Cobains lyrics were the best aspect of Nirvana. When the generation of this era of music, with these style of lyrics, reaches their 50s. Cobain may receive the recognition he deserves as a songwriter. Artist Picks/ The All Time Top 100 Bands, Cobain is already rated # 42. Janis Joplin is # 43. Well....I could rant & rave on & on, So thanks to the ones that finished reading my post....Peace.

Why does everyone hate evanescence so much? I can honestly say they're one of my favorite bands. Definately top 10. I also love seether especially their acoustic album.

Over the last year i slowly have been getting more and more into seether and this past october i saw them in concert with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin, just amazing. I'm a huge nirvana fan and i definitely see and can hear the influence especially when they cover their songs. I think theyve done heart-shaped box, You know you're right, something in the way and possibly rape me? not really sure but i know in concert they cover nirvana a lot along with alice in chains so the grunge influence is obviously there

great band tho lots of energy

Sorry, but the only good song on the whole album is Remedy. The rest is crap-o-la.

Seether is a good band, for the whole post-grunge scene. Some originality, good voice.

You're entitled to your opinion, even though it is rediculously wrong.
I've been a Seether fan since the moment their first single was released.
The second album was by far the best, overall. I'm becoming more and more disgusted with their progression, (or the vocalist's progression), into writing same old "woe is me" crap. Latest album has a few good tracks on it, but alot of it is nothing but one big "my life sucks" recording.

EDIT: I'm a fan of supporting the bands I like, but I chose not to purchase the album because of the first song title.
"....damn, they went emo =|"

I have to disagree in that i think there latest album was very good. All of the songs were very good and had there own sound about them. And it was obvious that the band changed since Disclaimer 2.

My personal Favorite is probably Walk Away....
