I hve not stopped listening to Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces. This entire cd has great lyrics and every song is as solid as the next.

'Seether'.
'Seether', is a band I started to really get into last spring. And they are one of my favorite's. I noticed right away, (in my personal opinion). they are influenced alot by 'Nirvana'. So, if you dont like Nirvana, you may not like Seether. Gasoline,Remedy,Fine Again,The Gift, etc. I like most everything off the album. I dont care much for the live versions of these songs, But they do help picking out the small accents on the bass guitar....Peace.

It seems like every "rockish" band to come out after Nirvana is either like Nirvana or compared directly to Nirvana. There to band in my opinion are Nothing alike. And if you disagree please find some proof that makes the two similar artists.

Really?, I didnt know every new band is compared to sounding like Nirvana. As I stated before, It is just my personal opinion. I always thought Puddle of Mud had a Nirvana influence also, But of course, I can not show you proof of that, I simply hear the influence myself. Ive heard a few other, As to say, quant influences with a few other bands Ive heard. But not like I hear with Seether & Puddle of Mud. I am a big Curt Cobain(Nirvana) fan since 93s Seattle era. So....Nirvana is Nirvana. And I would find it hard to believe that they're influence, would be of no value to today's Alternative/Modern Rock. Can you hear Hendrix's influence with Stevie Ray Vaughn? And so, The cycle of musical influences goe's on....Now this is only my personal opinion Brother. So you may have your 'own opinion' on this subject, which I respect. I guess it is in the eye's(ears) of the beholder. You have stated a very good point, even though I can not prove it to you. One may hear the influence, Or not.

I have had a little time to reflect on the question, How would I compare the influence of Nirvana, to say, Seether. And again, this is only from my point of view. The first comparison would be, The style in which the lyrics of both song writer's use very close to the same type's of phrase's, line's, wording, etc. (I could, show example's of comparing lyric's), but, with that, I will add. They both have the same, closely related, vocal range & voice quality. (I have indulged in playing with a # of cover band's through the year's, and I possess no 'Delusions of Grandeur', nor do I know everything about music). I find Nirvana & Seether both use, within certain consideration's, the same chord pattern's, key, etc. They are both, more or less, classified in the Alternative/Modern Rock catagory. Yet....Nirvana is Nirvana, & Seether is Seether. I would 'not' compare the ability & level of talent, say....To the lead guitar player's, Bassist, Drummer's, etc. Or, one band to the other.

Fair Enough
And my point was more out of frustration of the fact that i have probably seen every band in the rock genre heavily compared to Nirvana's sound, and said to be an influence. And i find that ridiculous. Dont get me wrong though, i love Nirvana.

Well its understandable to a large degree. Nirvana gave the masses distortion and self-hating and angsty lyrics, the post-grunge sound is too omnipresent. If they don't sound like Nirvana, then who do they sound like? And if they "don't sound like anyone" then we've got a real problem.
They take from Nirvana heavily and its rather obvious that if nirvana never made it to south africa, seether would be playing dave matthews-esque music or whatever else was popular.
