I was pretty close to putting Into Glory Ride on mine too. Like **** what people that album is some of the most badass heavy metal ever put to tape. God damn "Revelation", "Secret of Steel", "Gates of Valhalla", "Hatred", "March for Revenge", "Gloves of Metal"?.... So all of them but "Warlord" which isn't bad or anything, just one of the obligatory Manowar tracks about them being cool guys and banging women. Still pales in comparison the immense epicness and slaying that would follow. That is just a razor sharp metal album to destroy all metal albums.

Psh, like this isn't sick

"Hatred" is the only song on that album I don't really like. It's got dat good atmosphere but as a song it's meh. "Warlord" is one of my favs though, even if it doesn't jibe with the rest of the album, and that intro is all that is Manowar. That, "Secret of Steel", "Gloves of Metal", and "March for Revenge" are insanely awesome. There's nothing like Into Glory Ride in all of metal. I kind of like it in the same way I like Hammerheart though. Into Glory Ride is like the Conan to Hammerheart's Lord of the Rings. Both epic as **** but one is smart and the other is gloriously dumb.

I always kinda thought of Manowar to be like a metal-er Led Zeppelin

I think of them as a cheesier Judas Priest with I guess some of the songwriting pretensions of Zeppelin.

I dunno if JP can match the glory. Maybe, definitely with songs like "Victim of Changes", "Sinner", "The Sentinel", and "Saints in Helll"

Yes. Arghoslent is good. Too bad so much **** is heaped on them for their views, their music is top-notch.
