Conqueror are a "so violent and brutal that your teeth will crack" kind of band like Revenge. But they're not Revenge. So you can get more kvlt cred by saying things like "Revenge are good, but I like Conqueror better" or "oh you like Revenge? Check out Conqueror" |

^sounds pretty much like
Craft - Fuck the Universe This probably doesn't make that look like pussy ****, but what it does do is deliver a totally solid and savage and fun all at once album of **** everything (literally the universe) black metal, reminiscent of mid-era Darkthrone and 75% of every other bm band. I might say this is heavier than Orcustus, just a tad, with deeper riffing. Thing with black metal is, when it is completely generic and derivative, it will still be sick. |

Witch in Her Tomb - Meditations Witch in Her Tomb have recently released this little comp that combines their first two EPs on one album. If you follow that link to YouTube you should find the other side easily. A pretty major force to be reckoned with in the whole world of scathing, blistering and raw (sometimes punky) black metal that they've found there way too. I think they are one of the best of the kind, with all their material extremely catchy and badass as well as hateful. They have a deeper, bassier sound than most of their fellow raw BM-ers, like Bone Awl, as well as an amazing and distinct vocalist. |

This is some more of the raw black metalpunk that's always coming from everywhere, but this is probably one of the most solid releases of it all. I really hope they do some more stuff, because this is really great. Great production that sounds amazing and lo-fi all at once, incredibly catchy and should offer much replay value. That's some buzzsaw ass riff ****. |

I, Voidhanger is an extremely awesome and consistent label that's always putting out the best black metal for your ears. A lot of atmospheric and spacey jams come out of the label. So here's one of the best black metal albums of the decade thus far. A positively huge, expansive galaxy of eargasmic and forward thinking atmo-BM. Like, see the cover? That's basically what's going on here. The black metal has a sound reminiscent of Cascadian bands like Skagos, WITTR, and Lake of Blood, combined with some doom influences, a magically outrageous layering of beauty, and an atmosphere to invoke feelings of otherworldy nebulae and cosmic snails and all kinds of badass stuff. Always building an epic atmosphere, always stunning, melodic musicianship and songcrafting. Like nothing you've ever heard before. Top black metal contender of all time. |

This is pretty death metally, but I'm still gonna post it because you're all worthless christians. AoA do the extreme to the max, intense to the extreme, and brutal to the intense kind of stuff like Revenge and Conqueror, but I think these guys have more in their sound to grab onto. All the Revenge-core is cool and all but **** all sounds the same. More death metal influence for this album and more evolved songcraft, but still will crush your skull into a very fine powder, spill all your blood into a blender, mix it with your powdered skull into like a brownish-reddish mush of blood and bone dust, then chug it and vomit back up into your opened grave that they are also currently desecrating. |
