LOL, I saw this thread and got excited and was gonna post Arizmenda until I read the OP. What a coincidence...
Anyway, here, have this: It's a demo that doesn't have an artist, or a title, and thus is known by its label and catalog number. Very warm and enveloping, and it sounds not unlike the album cover; I get the impression of spiraling into space. One of my favorite black metal tapes. |

These guys are one of the first groups I considered good back in the day when I hated black metal bands. Now I just hate most of them instead.
The album itself has a ton of good space synth, sax, and orchestra. |

https://a-forest-of-stars.bandcamp.c...grave-mistakes new album from A Forest of Stars and wouldn't you know it's ineffable. The style hasn't changed but that style is already so far removed from traditional stuff and somehow paradoxically sounds unique every time around. Maybe it's a tad less outrageous but it's incredible, end of discussion. |

Idk if these bands were mentioned here, didn't see them in my cursory glance, and these are more of a mix of black/death metal, but Ritual Necromancy, and Esoctrilihum are cool. The former has one release this year, the latter has made two.
