*shrug*
I never disliked it, but I do like it a bit more than I used to.

Paralysis - Arctic Sleep This is the best thrash metal EP in the history of the world. A whirlwind of technical thrash metal, each of these five tracks rips harder than anything I know of. The production is my favorite part of this. I don't know why, but paper-thin production and guitar tones make me feel all warm inside. The riffs are highly advanced, and the tempo goes all over the place. I don't know or pay attention to enough thrash singers to make comparisons to this singer, but his vocal style is intense, but goofy. Regardless, the dude can sing, he's even a bit catchy, and his confident performance matches with the complex music perfectly. This is what Watchtower should have sounded like. So many good riffs in this. This is an unknown gem if I've ever heard of one. Perfect from beginning to end. As good as the entire EP is, Paralysis saves the best for last. |

I see the Watchtower comparison, but I'd take them over Paralysis, at least so far. Watchtower were more obtuse, but also more bizarre-sounding, and while their vocalist initially repelled me, he's now all part of the weirdness package. Paralysis sound cool, but not nearly as memorable as Watchtower.
