The opening instrumental section on "Frantic" is one of the better moments in metallica's discography, but I can't forgive the rest of that song for being very jumbled and having poor flow. There's too many different sections thrown together. I legitimately hate every other song on that album. Not a good riff in sight. Hardwired on the other hand has the riffs, and "Ain't My Bitch" has some of my favorite metallica riffs. Load has good riffs, but Hetfield's vocal cadence on most of the songs is dreadful.
I think we've exhausted this current conversation, but if you would like me to continue to rip on St. Anger and everything they've done post-Load I will. |

The single "Hardwired" was kinda garbage. Pretty disappointed not gonna lie. The artworks is pretty horrendous as well. So my expectations are pretty low, which I guess is a good thing considering they haven't made a decent album in over 20 years.
