Just read up on this. ZZ Top were sued and won cause the court determined that the rhythm and riff were in the public domain.

Ok. Someone help me out. I'm lost how Led Zeppelin stole from black people. I mean, the only people that you could actually say they stole from are white artists. The black musicians were all credited.

While they didn't make the genre better, they didn't make it lame. Led Zeppelin is a great band. I just don't get why it says in the title they stole.

Oh well I didn't know that. I would have to see how they play it, to compare. Sometimes things sound the same but are just played differently on guitar. I mean if Billy Gibbons was inspired by anyone I would guess it would be Blues players he was into, like Robert Johnson, Lightnin' Hopkins etc etc.

Agreed. We usually seem to have quite different tastes and dispositions, but I agree with you 100% on that one.
