I don't know about overrated. It's such a weird term to use. What I do know is that I enjoy not listening to either of them for a variety of reasons. I tend to find Townsends projects annyoing and Wilson's solo stuff (probably also Porcupine Tree) dull.
If I said I found them overrated, then I guess that would mean that I'm suspecting fans of either of being wrong? But since I believe people like these artists as much as they say they do, I can't call them overrated... I guess.
