Song on radio-- a bit country rock sounding

I can't remember the lyrics well. The chorus was short and it kept repeating the word "madman" I think. The beginning talked about there being no moon in the sky. And then the rest of the song was about meeting up with some crazy woman. I think the term "hanged man" was used once in the second verse. It was a country hard rock sounding song. I'm guessing it's brand new or only a few years old. I heard it while driving up around New Hampshire.
