I only like 3 songs off it. The title track, Touch Of Evil & Night Crawler.
Everything else on it is Judas Priest by numbers.

There's a Judas Priest bootleg kicking around of a radio show they did at the New York Palladium in 1977 on the Sin After Sin tour. I'd sell my mother to own that thing, they even open the gig with Let Us Prey/Call For The Priest. I've ALWAYS wanted to hear that played live.
It's also the only Priest tour I have nothing from, which is annoying because Sin After Sin might be my favourite Priest album.
Not according to the Urban 100 its not.

Judas Priest split up in 1991 as far as I'm concerned.

I'm right there with you. Not Priest w/out Halford. Saw them live with Halford on the British Steel 30th anniversary tour. They can still kick ass live, even though they can't really do it in studio anymore. At least not from what I've heard. I actually haven't given Nostradamus a full listen, but to put out a double album this late in your career just seems like a stupid move.

Apart from a couple of tracks here and there I am not much of a Priest fan. Much preferred Dio. I know they sound different from each other but as archetypal Metal bands I just prefer Dio's music.

However Sad Wings Of Destiny is a phenomenal album and one of the best Metal albums out there.

poorly recorded, terribly outdated, overly cheesy. The live versions of some of the songs 'Metal Gods' sound amazing, but the album itself sounds terrible. Plus, most of the songs on it really aren't that good.

It's just the first album where they started really really producing viable hit songs.

qft. Dio was amazing when he wasn't being too silly or too repetitive (well, sometimes when he was being too silly).

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

Dio is great but when it comes to Sabbath, Dio can't touch Ozzy.
