Given their reputation with Reload and Lulu, I figured Metallica would be losing. Then again, it's the most famous band of the big four of grunge vs. the most famous band of the big four of thrash. I suppose thrash would be the winner since its much bigger, even though Nevermind is more highly rated than MOP based on magazine charts and aggregated ratings sites.

A lot of artists get boring after they've been around a long time. That doesn't make great work they did early in their career any less great.

I don't go out of my way to listen to Nirvana, but I really can't stand Metallica.

Exactly how I feel. Metallica's legacy is cemented.

4 albums I love vs. 4 albums I love, 4 that are decent and 2 that are terrible.

I guess the unblemished discography wins, regardless of how great the latter's high was. Very tough though.

Voted for Metallica. Nirvana is grunge so I'm not sure what's up with the Metal Showdown label. No hate, just an honest question.

There's only one way to tell if this man is a kindred spirit. What's your favorite pasttime/hobby?

Sure I'll bite, playing Blade & Soul, a PC mmorpg.

If all that sounded like Greek, it's a video game.

Not at all. There's combat and flashy moves, but no blood. It's M rated, but I fail to see why, except to attract players?
