But your going by a very different definition of pop, and you just reiterated something I said within the post: "they were pop in the sense that they were popular." Here on music forums, we tend to go by the genre to make things less confusing.

They were popular. OK, did this make them less rock, metal, or grunge? Kurt never really desired popularity, in fact.

I never said they weren't pop in that sense. My point is that your context was quite flawed in the first post. I'm not even talking about GNR anymore.

I never say this, but WHAT THE ****?

I never said they weren't rock! Are you even reading my posts? All I said was they weren't part of the genre "pop!" So, if you say they are pop rock, and I say they were popular but not a part of the genre of pop, then obviously I left rock out of my statement, thus denoting they were rock! I said they were too heavy for pop. So, yes! I AGREE THEY ARE ROCK. Pop Rock and Hard Rock are different! Both are rock, but one leans more towards pop! And I don't see GNR sounding l;ike Beatles anytime soon, despite that Paul McCartney cover! I feel like I'm gonna go numb from the shock! Heck, Appetite for Destruction is one of my favorite rock albums!

Note: I just checked your post count. In the last four minutes your count went from 5 to 9. I only posted twice in that time. I think you're posting a little quickly and take some more time to read the fine print of the replies to your posts. Because my assumption was right: You're posting a bit quickly.

Fleetwood Mac > GNR

I agree 100% percent. Appetite for Destruction is an essential album, but Rumours is beyond the borders of five stars.
