Tool and Pink Floyd both have one thing in common. No one genre fits right.

They transcend the rock genre, which is something early prog strived to accomplish. Complexity, however, became the common form of transcendence. At least, that's how I view it. Goin to sleep now.

I can agree with both these statements. Mostly because I don't give a **** to make up an argument about it.

Why can't Pink Floyd transcend sucking?

Actually, they have two things in common because they're also two of the most overrated bands ever. I can dig some Floyd, don't get me wrong, but Tool ****ing blows.

No, if it's rock with a ton of jazz elements and it's not Zeuhl then it is jazz fusion.

@Tool - Definitely prog, you can't call them not prog just because you don't like them.

@Pink Floyd - Want to just have a "Pink Floyd" list and boot them off Prog Rock?

Oh, nearly forgot, I'll put Ween on Wild Card.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.
