Actually, why not switch it wth Sign O the Times on funk rock?

Sign O the Times is funk, Purple Rain is not. I think we'll just leave Purple Rain out of this one. It's a great album, but it doesn't really belong in the rock category IMO.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

What? How is it not pop rock? Also, the album is synth funk. Synth funk. Pop rock. Both funk and rock in one album.

I personally prefer Sign O the Times, and I think more people on here will prefer it also. Purple Rain is a bit cheesy and at times frustrating.

It's also his most highly acclaimed and highest selling album.

You must have missed a lot of the metal album survivor battles where Bat went with the most popular acclaimed albums from a band and everyone said that they would vote for that band if it was a different (and better) album. Most acclaimed don't mean **** here.

And the personal opinion of one ******* who thinks his preference means **** does not in fact mean **** either. Just because we might hypothetically happen to have an abnormal number of people who prefer Hell Awaits, that doesn't mean I was ever going to not use Reign in Blood.

I was referring to Darkthrone tbh. There were a few other examples too.

That one's a bit murkier of a choice, but Transylvanian Hunger is still the album that's their most respected. I generally ignore anyone who ever says that they like THIS album better, since one person's subjective opinion is pretty much irrelevant to that thread when making a list. Unless it's mine.

Everyone said they'd go for Blaze in the Northern Sky.
