Except for the fact that I don't like GNR, I will partially agree. Jar of Flies has some of the best songs ever recorded as far as I'm concerned ("Rotten Apple" to "No Excuses" is flawless). But the rest of their albums never quite measured up to their potential. I honestly think they would have been best playing more melodic tracks and less "grungey" songs. Even the best songs off Dirt, "Down in a Hole" and "Would", are proof of this. "Man in the Box" is the intense exception to this.

But even when they were a less good, blues rock version of the Melvins they were still better than Guns N Roses.

Yep, absolutely. I think they sounded their best doing depressing dirge-like music along the lines of "Rotten Apple", but they insisted on trying to rock out most of the time, which they kind of sucked at. Unlike you, really dislike "Man in the Box" so I have no examples of them rocking out successfully.

You're wrong sir.

Congratulations in having ****ty taste in glam metal. Motley Crue have been notified and will avoid you in the future. Of course I'm sure you'll be pleased by this, as you have ****ty taste in glam metal.

Good taste in glam metal is the same as thinking glam metal is awful ftr.

You probably have no taste not handed to you by websites that suck John Cage's dick.

Necropheleoteric.com doesn't really post updates anymore.

You guys are so ****ed up.

Dirt is a masterpiece. I don't care what any of you say.

Frownland 01-27-2016 09:33 PM

I agree. Anyone who rates GNR and doesn't think that Dirt is fantastic is clearly out of their mind.

I would say Motley Crüe are my second favorite glam metal band. They haven't made any albums that I enjoy from start to finish though, unlike Guns 'n' Roses.
