Aux-In's Pandora Promise: Seeking Your Rock Band Recs
Alright, I have more than satisfied my taste for electronica through various means. While I have that down, the twist is that I have been completely unable to duplicate this when it comes to rock music, especially hard rock. Part of that could be Pandora's smaller library (compared to Spotify), but I still want to try. To remedy this situation, I am seeking to enlist the help of the Music Banter rock elite, thereby asking for your band selections.
Here's how this thread is intended to work. 1) Submit one band only per member. The reason to keep it limited to one rec is because I want to keep the influences as varied as possible. 2) If you submit a band that is not in Pandora's system (a lot might not be), I will let you know so that you can make a new selection. If I had previously added your band selection myself, I will let you know and you can submit another band. Bands like Alice In Chains and Soundgarden I'm already going to have. 3) The newer the band, the better. That's where I'd like the focus to be. 4) While you are welcome to submit any rock band you desire, no matter what the rest of this sentence is going to say, it may be best to keep to a hard rock/grunge/metal framework, as that's my preference. The idea here is to bring new music to Music Banter that both I and others may like, so if I'm continually thumbs-downing tracks from rock genres I don't like, it'll be a rough go of things. 5) Considerations: Pandora breaks down songs/bands by a number of factors, so you can pick selections based on only a small part of why you like a band. Ex: instrumentation, vocals, "feel," etc. Pandora's algorithm will do the rest. 6) I will update the OP noting who submitted what band. 7) Rec expiry date: Rec period expires on February 29, 2016. ------------------------------------------ MB Member Selections Exo - Creepoid Frownland - Old Time Relijun Plankton - Clutch Suzy Creamcheese - The Pandoras The Batlord - Corrosion of Conformity Tristan Geoff - UFO Last edited by Aux-In; 01-19-2016 at 08:51 AM. |

Old Time Relijun
More of a super stripped down punk rock thing than hard rock, but you might get a kick out of em.
