There is that, but still not rock. Great drummer, and an i fluence on many rock drummers, but not necessarily part of rock circles.

I'm glad that Buddy Rich isn't rock tbh. Are we only talking about rock drummers so that Peart can be relevant while we throw around terms like "best"?

70s era rock drummers, yeah. And Peart is one of the best of that era. Rich and Krupa are the foundation of everything that came after them for sure though.
