Day Three

Opens on our first recommended album in "Don't Listen to that --- Listen to this!" with Frownland suggesting Ufomammut's Ecate, then we move on to our first of four sideways glances at "odd" metal albums in "When Worlds Collide", kicking off with a country album from Carcass? Well, Jeff Walker anyway... Following that we have the first of our Members' Top Ten Lists, with Frownland first up, his 10-7 being from Man is the Bastard, Sabbath, Ulver and Electric Wizard.

After that it's time to check out the "Heavy Metal Honeyz", in the first of our homages to the ladies in Metal, including Alissa White-Gluz, Lauren Harris, Liz Buckingham and a lot of others too. Finally, we look into what happens when metal bands take on pop songs, in the first part of "Metal Goes Pop!"

Day Four:

Back to Bosnia for more of "The International Language of Metal", this time it's a band called Emir Hot (and they are), then Judas Priest's second album, Sad Wings of Destiny goes under the microscope in our "Featured Artiste" slot. More of "The Metal that made Me" with the hilarious Splitbeaver, and then it's time to begin counting down my top forty all-time Iron Maiden tracks. We end the day then with some Metal acts that have been "Kartoonified!"

Day Five:

Some more new albums this week as we check out Ensiferum's One Man Army in the "Freshly Forged" section, while we're back to listen to Frownland's top ten with Gorguts and Darkthrone, "Metal goes to the movies" comes in for a second showing and we begin our look at the Metal Massacre series of compilations as we ask "Where are they now?" Where, indeed?

Batty's first attempt to scare me in the Torture Chamber is a neo-Nazi band called "Absurd". Quite.

Day Six:

Back to Bosnia with one of the oldest bands to come out of that country, Bombarder, in "The International Language of Metal", then Judas Priest's third album Sin after Sin is reviewed in the "Featured Artiste" slot, while Ki makes an enemy in "Don't Listen to that --- Listen to this!" If only I had ignored that advice! Later on we look at Beatles covers by Metal bands in "All you need is ... Metal?"

Day seven:

Opening with the new album from Scorpions in "Freshly Forged" and then it's on to our final band from Bosnia with Heaven Rain, before we tackle Thunder in Rock by Myofist as some more of "The Metal that made Me", and finish off Frownland's top ten, closing with "More than Words", looking into Motorhead's "Don't let daddy kiss me". Strong stuff.

Day nine:

Back to some "Freshly Forged" material with the new one from Nightwish, heading into Iran to sample the music of Helzgloriam while also checking out Forefather in "Don't listen to that --- Listen to this!" Then we begin counting down the Top Ten from Ninetales, with Mortualia, Leviathan, Trist and Incantation, and we take another look at pop songs from metal bands in "Metal Goes Pop".

Day ten:

Opening with another Judas Priest album, this time it's Killing Machine or Hell Bent for Leather, depending on your geographical location, and more of "The Metal that made Me" with Saxon's Power and the Glory, then we resume our countdown of my favourite Maiden tracks, getting to number 21.

Hell Bent for Leather is a far better name for that album than Killing Machine as there's nothing sinister or dark about it.

Also you mentioned that Stained Class was their third album when in fact it's their fourth as Sin After Sin was their third.

Yeah but it sounds uber-gay does it not?
