The vote is for what the best rock and roll albums are, and I'll decide for myself what rock and roll means to me. You really can't convince me otherwise.

Technically, you're the one talking to a wall if you're the one who can't convince me otherwise. I'm not trying to argue with you about your opinion or change it. You're trying to get me to vote differently and you're failing, or at least trying to prove the subjectivity of my mind wrong. I'm not talking to a wall. I AM THE WALL.

Dude, I'm The Wall. I'm my favorite Pink Floyd album.

I'm pretty sure JGuy is either TH's sockpuppet account or a close relative of his. You two make my stubbornness look like gullibility.

Yes, I am now aware that you are immune to reason.

Subjective opinions are not the same thing as reason. If you're so bent on projecting your personal tastes as a law of life, you're the villain here. I've been through dumb arguments about people's opinions before, and I'm very sure I can stand my ground and say, "Why the hell should I try to think like someone else?" The fact is that a genre can have various definitions, and these definitions are made by people. People judge a "genre" on culture, or the sound, or the marketing sense, the era, etc. I choose to purely judge a genre on sound, because each sound has a different feeling to me that I associate with it. I'm not a tool for sales, so I won't go by cultural, historic, or sales terms.

Or the criteria of an internet forum game in which you are willfully participating?
