Whelp, that does it! Doves is out, so...

Blur - Parklife is the winner!

Next battle will start tomorrow, I don't have any time left tonight. (It's Rock and Roll btw.)

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I was pretty surprised myself when I realized I liked it more than Blur. The way the arrangements come together on that one cross out the boredom inherent in the slower Britpop albums. And after that, the pure beauty of it shines through on its own.

I went ahead and just decided on Crust Punk for the next battle. I'll do a vote for the battle after that.

Well, that'll be a new kind of punk for me. I have heard NO crust punk. I'll get to that tomorrow or the day after. For now, all I really need to listen to are Small faces and Aftermath.

If Small Faces and Aftermath don't knock Elvis Presley off your top spot then we will never be friends.

Yeah, Elvis launched the genre into popularity, but he was certainly not the best of them all. Out of all the 50s era guys, I like Buddy Holly the most. If only he hung around a little longer...

EDIT- Now that I think about it, would you guys be cool with replacing The Crickets with Buddy Holly's solo debut?

I didn't see that.

Um, I think we should stick to what the list is once the round has started to avoid confusion. People are already going to be voting and replacing albums will just look unorganized. If you want, someone can make a separate rockabilly list and put that there. We already have a psychobilly list anyway.

1. Buddy Holly - Buddy Holly
2. Carl Perkins - Dance Album of Carl Perkins
3. Johnny Burnette and the Rock 'n Roll Trio - Johnny Burnette & The Rock 'n Roll Trio
4. Johnny Cash - Johnny Cash With His Hot and Blue Guitar!
5. Wanda Jackson - Wanda Jackson
6. The Meteors - In Heaven
7. The Blasters - Hard Line
8. Jerry Lee Lewis - Jerry Lee's Greatest!
9. Bravo - Bravo
10. Link Wray - Jack the Ripper
