Why don't you check the Future Battles list and figure out for yourself?

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

Is everyone done? If so, I'll start the new round today.

No, I'll try to finish up tomorrow. Not sure how big a response this round will have either because Jguy has been gone for a while.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I'm just waiting for a couple others to get knocked off. Britpop's not one of y highest priorities. But I'll get through an album or two today.

God. That was an excruciating listen. Not that any of it's too terrible, but it's just bland. Blur, Doves, Oasis, and Travis are interesting but other than that I was just bored out of my mind. And I hope Holy Bible is better than Everything Must Go.

So...

Aeuters
Verve
Elastica
Suede

That sums up my thoughts on britpop pretty well.

We need something energetic for this next battle. Post-rock was great and all but I'm feeling I need something upbeat.

We should do the rock and roll battle. Makes sense to get that out of the way early, right?

Rock and Roll (from the archives)

1. Elvis Presley - Elvis Presley
2. Little Richard - Here's Little Richard
3. Yardbirds - Having a Rave Up
4. Buddy Holly (The Crickets) - The "Chirping" Crickets
5. The Who - My Generation
6. The Rolling Stones - Aftermath [UK version]
7. Small Faces - The Small Faces ['66 debut]
8. Bo Diddley - Have Guitar, Will Travel
9. Chuck Berry - Berry Is on Top
10. The Animals - The Animals [UK version]

I don't see why not. Everyone else should come to a consensus though.

Also can we just declare Blur the winner already and just skip out on this one? (Kinda kidding)

I'm sure there are some that would disagree with that call. Anyways, I'm calling this round early. It's already gone on long enough. It's no surprise that Elastica is out this round.

9. Suede - Dog Man Star
8. Oasis - Definitely Maybe
7. Travis - The Man Who
6. Manic Street Preachers - Everything Must Go
5. The Auteurs - New Wave
4. The Verve - Urban Hymns
3. Doves - Lost Souls
2. Pulp - Different Class
1. Blur - Parklife

Vote 4 off. Vote ends March 17.
