I guess, but I thought there was already a Metal Album Survivor thread and therefore any metal albums was excluded from this thread as a result.

The easiest is probably to just keep the list for the current battle unchanged. Either way I have my own ranking sorted out.

Yeah whatever you want to do. I'm good. Just anxious to get this going before it ends up slipping under the water again.

I'm down to do the updated list and probably just keep everything pertaining to this thread in it for now, let's start listening to the albums by July 1st

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

As we go, we vote off 4 albums that we for whatever reason want gone from the music island that will crown the top Symphonic Rock album!

For the sake of clarity: we're still doing the Symphonic Prog one first though right? I just compiled that Symphonic Rock list to have something for later. If we keep it then Renaissance would go on the Symph.Prog list to replace ELO. If not then I guess we would do the battle in its original form (including ELO)?

I already started listening to the albums on the new list, Camel's Mirage specifically but I guess we could do the original list too. I would say keep ELO though whichever option allows that

I'm confused (what's new?) - are you saying we only begin listening to the albums on July 1, or that we should be finished listening to them (and therefore ready to vote) by then?

So, this is the list?

Symphonic Prog

1. Yes - Close to the Edge
2. Camel - Mirage
3. Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed
4. Gentle Giant - Octopus
5. King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
6. Änglagård - Hybris
7. Steve Hackett - Voyage of the Acolyte
8. Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Emerson, Lake & Palmer
9. Electric Light Orchestra - Eldorado
10. Genesis - Foxtrot

If so, I don't need to do much 'new' listening.

The latter, I'm fairly certain. If someone hasn't decided on their votes by then I don't think it would be too big a deal to extend the deadline a bit, though

Yeah, that's the one. You're more than welcome to join in
