You're going to do punk without hardcore? The two genres diverged too much to justify that. And what about post-hardcore?

I'm curious to see what the post-grunge list is going to look like, because it's easily my least favorite genre, and I'm hoping that someone can show me something at least better than the post-grunge s*** I've heard before (Nickelback, Creed, Matchbox 20, etc.)

Jazz fusion is not rock. Something like lameass jazz rock can fit the bill but what's the point? It's just going to be annihilated by something that doesn't suck (as a whole, that is).
Keep dreaming.

I need Frownland for his no wave expertise.
@Post-grunge Only ones I can think of off the top of my head are the Foo Fighters, and Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. Audioslave and Incubus aren't bad either.

Seems like pretty standard alternative rock to me.

And as far as no wave... 1. James Chance and the Contortions - Buy 2. Swans - Filth 3. Sonic Youth - Confusion Is Sex 4. Glenn Branca - The Ascension 5. Mars - 78 6. Teenage Jesus and the Jerks - Everything 7. DNA - A Taste of DNA 8. No New York (actually a live studio compilation of the Contortions, Teenage Jesus, Mars, and DNA, but it's a legendary document of the genre, so I'd say it's required.) That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge, as it was a pretty small, short-lived scene, with most bands never even putting out a proper album.

Should I do Anarcho-Punk, and if so, should I blend in Hardcore with it?

As was pointed out in the previous thread, all of those bands are already represented on the no wave list.

But it's an ALBUM survivor thread, not a band survivor thread, and that's not actually an album by any of those four. It's also easily the most famous and one of the most important no wave albums of all time, so not including it on a technicality would be a serious oversight.

I'll put it in if one of the albums by one of those bands is sacrificed. Also, to whom am I to credit this album (not Brian Eno)?
