I hope I get that.
Math rock or noise rock or whatever is probably just one of those genres you're never going to get. Anyone who thinks there's a big enough difference between prog and symphonic prog will probably never appreciate Big Black or the Boredoms.

I really like math rock, actually. Noise Rock is different for me for some reason. Experimental Rock is very heavily either or for me, so putting the two together isn't very appealing to me. I admit they clearly have talent as guitarists, but the album is disorganized (rarely in a good way), the vocals suck (Dennis Lyxzén is way better), and it seems like they're trying to hard to be an aggressive Japanese version of Captain Beefheart.

Someone who doesn't expect chaos from noise rock is in for a treat.

Vision Created Newsun is the most accessible Boredoms record.

Most of these tracks on the Boredoms album sound like rough clips of songs rather than tracks, which along with the shoddy production leads it to sound like an hour long noise jam session. Awesome.

Just not something I'd want to listen to over and over. But admirable.

Also for a noise album there's a noticeable lack of feedback and loudness, which is also kinda neat.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I got done with the Boredoms record. 6.5/10. I never was into chaos, except with Zappa but that's a different story.

As far as Big Black goes, I enjoy it. It's a hardcore album as well, and I actually quite enjoy that. After this, I'm greatly looking forward to Atomizer.

**** HOLY **** 43 MINUTES IN IT GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!! ****ING GENIUS!

So it leads you on to think it isn't a noise album for so long and then ASSAULTS YOU with feedback when you least expect it... I jumped the **** out of my seat when I was writing that last post.

Nah, I bet there's a counter-example in this very thread. I wonder who it is.
