I meant having to go back and listen to a new album. Plus, there's going back and forth to reorder lists, which is something Technic already made clear that he didn't want to keep doing unless it was absolutely necessary. I agree Are We Not Men should be pon instead because the general opinion is that that's the best Devo album. But he already switched the two.
1000th reply.

What's the consensus on The B-52's album? It's so weird and kooky that I want to like it, especially because of how much the surf rock influence reminds me of Pulp Fiction, but more often than not I just find myself annoyed with how silly it gets.

I feel the same way tbh, but they're super fun live.

B-52's are all about dumb fun. Heck, I think Rock Lobster is so great because it's so bad. It reminds me of Adam West's Batman. Hey! Take the song's riff, dun dun dun dun dadadadun, and replace it with nanananananananana BATMAN! Everything else stays the same, except that's the leading riff. It's great.

Also, on the subject of Speaking in Tongues, I know some people prefer the Talking Heads' earlier work, but I think it's a fine album. It's got one of my favorite songs of theirs: I may not blast it out the window like Fear of Music or Remain in Light, but it's got a special place in my heart, you know?

I'm looking forward to Speaking in Tongues. Also, B-52's stays. Rock Lobster must stay. I think it's worse than most of the albums here (still a good album, as I have heard NO bad new wave), but I'll keep in on for a while out of respect for Rock Lobster.

Are We Not Men is on the Synthpunk list.
If you guys want we can last-minute swap out Speaking in Tongues for Fear of Music. I'm not against changing the lists if everyone agrees on it. Alternatively I can stick Fear of Music on the Wild Card list.

Duty Now is WAY more synthpunk. I'm playing the album right now and I keep thinking, "I'm surprised they decided to go the electronic route." The Devo albums should definitely be switched.
I agree with putting Fear of Music on the wild card list.

I don't really think of Fear of Music as a New Wave album, but I'm fine with a swap if other people want it on. No matter which Talking Heads album makes the list, I'll defend it till the end (or at least until I have to pick between it, Blondie, and the B-52's).

If nobody else cares, and I mean nobody, then I'll swap them. Otherwise I'm not doing something like that this far in. In fact, if we make a big Devo change, does anyone want to just replace the album on this list with Freedom of Choice? It's seriously up to you guys. Also, there's a next battle now too. Raise your concerns before the round begins, not after.
