Also I need to emphasize Union of Uranus and One Eyed God Prophecy. I guarantee they'll have you soiling your pants. Two "how in the hell is this not metal" bands

I think I've treated the screamo genre in a possibly very unfair way: I simply took the negative attitude everyone had about it as gospel and assumed every band sucked as bad as Brokencyde.

If anyone has some legitemately good screamo that sounds nothing like the most stereotypical stuff, I'd give it a listen.
