You know what guys. I really don't either. Let's just forget about that blunder and move on to more hazing the troll.

Anyway, let's get this thread back on topic.

Three metal bands I can't live without?

In all seriousness, this is probably what my list would look like:

A Swarm of the Sun (post-metal / metal)
Alesana (post-hardcore) I know they'd classify more as post-hardcore, but if I had the choice, i'd classify them as metal as well.
Tool (Metal)

And i'm honestly not putting Tool in there to be ironic. I'd honestly put them on my list if I had to choose only 3.

I guess I might as well contribute to this thread. My metal listening days are starting to get behind me but there are still three that I couldn't live without...

1. Cloudkicker
2. Between the Buried and Me
3. Opeth

Anybody who has a problem with the first two can suck a fart. They're forms of metal and that's that.

I think your third one is the least favorable one on the list.

Definitely now. I'm not big on where their sound went but I love their early albums too much to exclude them from top 3.

Damnation, Still Life, Orchid...all awesome.

I thought other people might find this interesting:

Note the third reply is almost identical to a comment made here by a certain someone.
