Hey Batlord, I honestly think that a bunch of the albums on the Garage Rock list could be replaced by The Litter's debut, from '67. They messed around with every sound that was being passed around in the garage movement at the time (riff rock, covers of old blues tunes, psychedelic craziness, mellow songs about overdosing, feedback loops and effects droning into the audience's ears, etc.). It's just as good as The Trogg's Out of Nowhere, but has the benefit of not having "Hi Hi Hazel" on it.

The Litter - Distortions

Put Marquee Moon by Television on the post-punk list, if you haven't already. It's a great album, but is often forgotten.

Examples:

Also, it's at the top of /r/music at the time of posting.

Lastly, check out the solo on Marquee Moon. Starts around 4:50.

I'm sorry, who forgets about Marquee Moon? It's one of the most acclaimed albums ever.

All of those albums on that list are better, and This Heat's Deceit kills all the records on that post punk list. Marque Moon is still awesome, just not as awesome as all of those.

Actually, Marquee Moon's on the proto-punk list. Not sure I'd call it that, but glad to see it's somewhere there.

By the way, Marquee Moon has an interesting relationship with top ten lists. It may not be that it is forgotten, so much that it doesn't really belong on any particular list. It's a very unique album.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

Try this page for industrial rock bands. Seems about as good as you're gonna get.

Let's get some Swirlies and Catherine Wheel up in that shoegaze list.

Yeah, Spiderland isn't a shoegaze album at all, so I'd replace that with They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days...
