Wait, I seriously thought China didn't have any metal bands. I thought rock music=rebellion=bad in that country. Shows you what I know.

Oh and I missed the part about Funeral doom. I'll get back to you with some bands. Wait, where is Carpe?

Chinese metal would have been a lot cooler if Ghost Bath didn't come clean about their American roots

For Funeral Doom Metal try Ahab's The Call of the Wretched Sea, and Thergothon's Stream From the Heavens.

Edit: and if you choose to do Greece for your international look at metal. Then you must include Transcending Bizarre?'s album The Serpent's Manifolds. Also, maybe a Hail Spirit Noir album, and one of Rotting Christ's albums. Edit #2: Oh, and Horrified's album In the Garden of the Unearthly Delights.

I'd take out Thergothon and replace it with Skepticism's Stormcrowfleet. Nothing against Thergothon, but Trollheart is probably going to hate funeral doom, so you might as well give him something that there's a ghost of a chance he'll like. Though I doubt he's going to go past one album anyway.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Iraq eh? I can just see it now: "Allah is a faggot". "Mohammed sucks Allah's cock." Interesting.

In all likelihood, whatever countries he picks he's just going to look at completely arbitrary bands with no relevance to anything. I seem to remember him doing Brazil last year, and skipping over Sepultura and Sarcofago to cover some no name bands he probably dredged up from the bottom of Metal Archives.

That's pretty much how I do it. I asked for help, got none, so had to go picking any band that sounded interesting. If you want to help this year now's your chance.
