Dam dude, this is a tough one. That Deerhoof one is badass with the stop breaks, but the Astroman one has some killer grooves. Also, Theramin. I'm gonna give it to Deerhoof though for their simplicity, timing, and use of scaled runs for fills.
Deerhoof - 1 Astroman - 0

Astroman wins just becasue of the Theramin.
Astroman - 1 Deerhoof - 1

I like how dissonant the Deerhoof riff is, so I'll go with that. The other song was great though.
Deerhoof - 2 Astronaut - 1

Astroman - 2
Deerhoof - 2 I picked Man or Astroman because their riff had more energy and i luv the build up around 1:48 and how it goes back to the riff of the verse. the deerhoof riff to me is more creatively structured but M&A riff rocks harder imo.. Sounds like Mad scientist rock, i dig that.

Sorry, hate them both. Deerhoof ruined it for me with nearly a minute of pointless feedback before the riff started, and then I didn't like it anyway, and the other one is just annoying. Staying out of this one.

This is about the RIFFS, not the whole song. Get it right man.
