Okay then: an unexpected but deserved victory for The Eagles.

Next up: Pet_Sounds.

I'll post one on my lunch. Are piano riffs allowed?

Oh well, I came up with two guitar riffs anyway.

TH already picked a Bowie song, but this is a far better riff IMO, and David's actually playing the guitar.

And I picked a Stones riff earlier (Satisfaction), but this is also far better. Hard to believe it's acoustic.

I prefer Rebel Rebel as a riff and song. You can clearly hear the Keith Richards influence in the Bowie riff though as it has a very similar path to JJF. I think Bowie should have let Ronson do his magic on it, albeit it was one of Bowies best singles of the 70's. While i'm not the hugest Stones fans, I can appreciate the riff, I always like Keith Richards on guitar its Jagger that doesn't appeal.

Bowie-1
Stones-0

That Bowie riff just grabs you by the nuts as soon as it starts, and Brian Jones I believe played the other one, which I never really cared for. Actually, I never cared for either one of those.

Bowie - 3
Stones - 0

Keith Richards played the riff. He played it on a Gibson Hummingbird Tuned in Open D.
