skimming through that list its like all the old heads think metal golden age was eveything release from like 78-97 then there was that gap 98-03 that we shall not speak off
but this list is lacking Newer fresh stuff Metal released from 2004-2022 also once the internet came out Metal changed forever IMO |

Slipknot's first album is alright. Avenged Sevenfold kinda just sucks though.
Ahab should be on the 1001 list though. This album specifically. Kickass record - one of Priest's more underrated works. By no means their heaviest effort, but damn I just love the songs: |

I get where you're coming from—Slipknot's debut has its moments, though it's definitely hit or miss for some. As for Avenged Sevenfold, I know they’re not everyone's cup of tea. Ahab’s album is a great pick for the 1001 list, though; it’s got that epic, atmospheric vibe that really stands out.
