That's basically what I said. Alice was Hard/Glam Rock, though I admit I didn't mention his psych side.

I know Glam Metal was influenced by Glam Rock. No shit. I didn't even mention whether Motley Crue were influenced by Glam Rock or not, and I feel like you're just assuming that I don't understand where they got their style from. All I said was that Glam Rock and Glam Metal are two different genres, which they totally are, influences aside. In the same way, Chuck Berry was influential on what would become Hard Rock, and that should be recognized, but I wouldn't put him in the Hard Rock genre.
