I'm continually amazed by the albums I apparently like less than Dopesick. I included Eyehategod originally cause you just have to in a sludge/stoner battle. They didn't have particularly good riffs and their music was often lifeless and I just didn't care.
But after weeks of listening to many of the albums on this thread, Dopesick has grown on me like a mother****er. It's just so raw and ragged and primitive. Its aesthetic actually reminds me of old school black metal. And to be perfectly honest, I think more "badass" or accessible riffs would somehow sanitize the nihilistic atmosphere of the music -- that vocalist is perfect for this music as well. One of the few instances where making music inaccessible really isn't just elitist nonsense. So, at least for another couple days, they stay off my list.
