Dio was awesome. RIP. But that Rainbow album just doesn't hang with the rest of those. Blame Blackmore for not writing better tunes.

Hell I think 9 of those albums are among the very best from the 1970s regardless of genre.

AC/DC
UFO
Led Zeppelin
Rainbow

My feelings as well. I was torn between putting down Flower Travellin' Band, Budgie, and Rainbow for the last spot, but I came to the conclusion that while Rainbow had the better singer, the other two were just better bands in general.

Dio's got a hell of a voice, unfortunately I find most of Rainbow's stuff pretty meh. I only really like a few of his solo albums and some of his Sabbath stuff.
