You're supposed to choose the album you like better, Trollheart.

Dio - Holy Diver.

I can't believe it made it this far, didn't it get decimated in William's survivor thread?

No, Dio did. That thread was about artists, not albums. It's okay though. I lost respect for you people as soon as you voted off Diamond Head.

I move that we add Zu's Carboniferous to the experimental/avant garde metal list.

I feel like enough people have heard it and it's better than DSO.

Oops! Forgot to update last night. Whether Black Sabbath are in heaven or hell, they're certainly gone from this battle.

Well, this is it folks. Last round of the trad metal battle. The winner of this goes on to the finals against the winners of all the other battles. I think the winner is pretty much a foregone conclusion and two days won't be necessary to declare the winner, but I'm gonna let this round ride just to give people time to get ready for the death metal battle.

Final round...

Dio - Holy Diver
Iron Maiden - Powerslave

Vote 1 off. Polls end on February 20.

Remember, death metal is next, so if you haven't heard the albums listed, or you just need to brush up, there are links in the OP, as well as below. If you have a problem with the lineup, then too bad. It's set in stone at this point as changing it now risks people having to go listen to albums they're unfamiliar with, and this close to the deadline that's kind of an unreasonable expectation.

Death Metal Battle Album Links

Spoiler for Death Metal Battle Album Links:

I'll have to go through some of those albums, as I haven't heard a few of them, but I'll get around to it eventually. Avant garde will probably come nearer the end of the "tournament", since I imagine a lot of people will have to play catch up listening to those albums.
