SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I feel exactly the same way. If I'm in the right mood it's fantastic but other times it just doesn't groove enough. I feel the same way about Gorguts' album Obscura - incredibly good, breaking new ground, but not something I want to hear every day. My choices:

Poison the Well
Misery Signals
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Botch

We agree on everything but Poison the Well. Clearly you are on bath salts to vote that off.

I like that album in small doses, but the vocals feel just a bit too abrasive and samey after a while. I like the way the vocals sit on Dead Man Walking - they still have impact but mix better with the guitar which is front and centre and reaches for your throat.

You may live. The vocals on Dead Man Walking are amazing. The man just sounds like a demon, and I would love to see if he could pull that off in a live setting. But I love Poison the Well's ultra-intense screaming as well. There aren't many bands whose singers have those kind of pipes.

Unbroken have been, well... you know, and so they're out. Next round!

5. Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works
4. Arkangel - Dead Man Walking
3. Botch - We Are the Romans
2. Underoath - Cries of the Past

Vote 3 off. Vote ends January 23.

Oops. You accidentally voted off Poison the Well. Easy mistake to make, I know.
