I feel exactly the same way. If I'm in the right mood it's fantastic but other times it just doesn't groove enough. I feel the same way about Gorguts' album Obscura - incredibly good, breaking new ground, but not something I want to hear every day. My choices:

I like that album in small doses, but the vocals feel just a bit too abrasive and samey after a while. I like the way the vocals sit on Dead Man Walking - they still have impact but mix better with the guitar which is front and centre and reaches for your throat.
