That's because Twisted Sister were a proper metal band with proper metal roots, unlike a lot of the bands that played glam metal.

I think I can already tell which band will win, by the way. They're nobody's favorite, but nobody hates them either.

EDIT- Ugh, you swapped Crimson Idol out too? All of these changes don't make any sense to me. Crimson Idol is quite obviously WASP's best album, IMO.

I let William decide, since he's the big WASP fan, and as good as The Crimson Idol is, WASP is a trashy band, and them trying to be serious is always going to be too goofy for its own good. The fact that the album is as good as it is is impressive, but it still comes across as a trashy band pretending they're something they're not.

You're almost entirely wrong on the story there. I think William's logic was more that the Crimson Idol was more of a Blackie Lawless solo album, which it was originally intended to be. It wasn't "pretending", it was genuine work, but it was Lawless' work instead of the entire bands'. In fact, Lawless really rules that band after Holmes left. Last Command definitely is one of the more "core" WASP albums, but The Crimson Idol is undoubtedly their best work. To each their own, I guess.
