The throne does not belong to the smoker.

Is it that obvious? I do talk about that album a lot.

If it came down to Dopesmokerthrone, I'd vote smoker, but I understand Dopethrone is the more popular "Dope-" album, and I will admit defeat.

Actually, this should be an interesting battle, if only because I'm anticipating an epic battle between Carpe and I over Candlemass.

I could actually see Epicus Doomicus Metallicus beating Dopethrone. Not saying it will, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Well I prefer Epicus to Dopethrone, but then again I prefer Manowar to Tool.

Candlemass is a good doom metal album because I would rather kill myself than listen to it. It's a country singer wailing on about gothic stuff. It's an opera, not a doom metal album.

In six months you'll quote this post and be like, "Was I ever this arrogant? Candlemass rules."

Epicus domicus metalicus is not even the best doom metal album of the 80s. It's psalm 9

Face. ****ing. Palm.

Seriously, though. Epicus Doomicus Metallicus is the epitome of epic doom. No other doom album has been able to conjure that kind of atmosphere. Also the poster album for a name that perfectly encapsulates the sound of a band.

Psalm 9 is epic doom, except it is actually evil-sounding.

Gonna start tallying votes soon, so if anyone wishes to and hasn't, then do so now.
