Back in early 1980 me and Linda were both 19, flat broke, no health insurance, and not even sure if we were going to remain together. We got pregnant according to the tests. After a ton of deep introspection, we decided the best decision was to abort. We gathered up the money and drove into downtown Boston - the only place you could get it done back then.
We were both gobsmacked over the whole thing. Sitting in the waiting room was torture. Lots of tears and second guessing. She gets called in and I'm left sitting there alone. The thoughts going through both of our heads...... Ends up she wasn't pregnant after all. Then 3 years later the same thing happens. We go to the hospital and after a bunch of tests the doc tells us that either she'll have a baby or will need to have her woman parts removed because of a weird cyst infection. I drove home that night knowing that I was either going to be a father, or was never going to be a father with Lin. I'm 100% pro-choice because people should have that control over their bodies and lives. The option to use it should be treated as the biggest decision you'll ever make though.

Act 1, Scene 3 OccultHawk and friends are gathered at a table, eating lunch, when suddenly a conversation begins... OccultHawk: My friends, I must congratulate you. This lunch was prepared most splendidly! Friend 1: Quite! But it's hardly a surprise. We did, after all, use only the finest of ingredients. Friend 2: And with my unmatched aptitude in all of the culinary arts, it was simply unimaginable that this meal would end up being anything other than perf... Mistress 1: I just had an abortion!
