Had some time to check MB before school. I don't really have a life.
And I think some thrash and doom metal bands can be labelled as extreme metal. Obviously not Metallica, Megadeth, Candlemass etc., but come on, bands like Slayer and Kreator are pretty extreme (not to mention that bands like Bathory and Mayhem's early work was essentially thrash metal tainted by a bit of Satan).
