I totally agree with you about later Van Halen, I loathe Sammy Hagar & the
OU812 album is an abomination that should be eradicated off the face of this earth, ERADICATED I say!!!...I feel very passionate about this.

That being said, when I vote I just look at the bands best material and how much I like it & David Lee is all right with me! Rock on!

It's probably been the better part of two decades since I listened to it, but OU812 was actually the first album I ever heard. I pretty much listened to it for months on end on a ****ty old Walkman. So I'll always have some nostalgia love for it.

Lol, I was expecting that from you, and you will probably put it ahead of... And Justice For All to, you bastard!. Just kidding of course.

I must confess its not as bad as I recall but it still makes me nauseous... too many guys with polo shirts & cardigan sweaters dig this album for my liking.

I can appreciate the nostalgia factor, especially if its the first album you ever heard, all I can say is...

Van Halen with Sammy Hagar

Van Halen with David Lee Roth

I will let you decide which version of Van Halen is cooler

David Lee Roth is one of the biggest things that I dislike about VH.

David Lee Roth is great. He's like having P.T. Barnum are your frontman.

Was P T Barnum one of the most obnoxious people in town? Then I'd agree about Lee Roth being like him.

I find Roth pretty entertaining in a very over the top way.
