Does anyone know the time signature of this song?
 

Hi,

I'm doing a song analysis for popular music class and was wondering if someone could help me identify the time signature for the intro of a song. I know that the song is in 4/4 when the singing starts (during the verse and chorus) however, in the intro of the song, I suspect that the time signature is in 5/4. The name of the song is "Through Oblivion" by In Flames. I would really appreciate any help.

That's a tricky one 'cause it fades in, however I would be inclined to agree with you, sounds like 5/4 to me. Tried counting a bunch of other signatures and that was the only one that seemed to fit.
