SOAD is like, one of the few nu metal bands I actually like.. The self titled debut is my favourite thing they did. I don't listen to much else by them, but I really like their first album.
I dunno, maybe it's because I'm 17, but still, I like it. My favourite Nu Metal band is Maximum the Hormone though, if you can call it that.
The band that got me into metal is Iron Maiden. I still prefer the Paul D'ianno era over Bruce Dickinson, probably because I heard it first. It also sounds a bit more punk-ish, and I love Punk. But I also like Bruce. Other than that, the big four got me into Thrash Metal.
