There's enough decent nu metal out there, but the problem is that it's almost a derisive term the same way that disco was in the 80s once the fad was over with. A lot of bands that are respected avoid the nu metal tag just because of the stigma involved with being labeled a "nu metal" band.

You ever listen to Simon Says? They were a diamond in the rough in my opinion, as far as a nu-metal band went. They had some neat little qualities to their music that most other nu-metal bands were oblivious to. |

Very opinionated folks. I know of Hoobastank, but they don't necessarily "irk" me like you guys.
Now if you brought up BrokenCyde, I can see where you're coming from.
