Venom
Yeah. I wanted to go to the Venom thread and see what people's opinions are on their albums besides the first three, but then to surprise, there was no Venom thread! Anyways, their first two are classics, as everyone knows, and At War With Satan is pretty sweet too. Calm Before the Storm and Possessed suffer a bit, bad production and lacking the energy, but they're still somewhat solid imo. I've always thought Prime Evil and Temples of Ice were awesome. Venom rules nonetheless. |

****ing love Venom. Plenty of AOR style metal from that time period that I dig, but power and energy trump slickness nine times out of ten.

Obviously Black Metal, very much like WtH (I like it better). At War With Satan has an epic 20 minute title track which is great, and a few other songs that are decent, "Genocide" being th best aside from the title track imo.
Then you should also get Prime Evil, **** rocks hard. |

Black Metal actually had a hint of class. But it's so goofy that it only makes it even more absurd and hilarious. "Brilliant" album.
