I don't mean to keep advertising Metal Month II (yes I do) but researching for it has as I say exposed me to a lot of metal I would not otherwise have bothered with. Some, again, I bloody hated (cough)Cryptopsy(cough) and some really surprised, both in a good way (Battleroar) and a bad (The Ruins of Beverast), but whatever the outcome it made me listen to this sort of music that I would not normally. On the original Metal Month last year I sampled the likes of Napalm Death, Morbid Angel, Death, Carcass, Slipknot ... all bands I would never even dream of listening to. Now, almost all of those experiences turned out to be negative for me, but there were some positives. I got a bit into Doom and Stoner Metal, and even discovered some Black Metal I could listen to (or did I dream that?)
Point is, if you try new things you may be surprised. Musically, guys! Musically! Put down that hood and leave the vacuum cleaner alone! Oh no! Not the dog! A project like MM has forced me to listen to music I would not otherwise give the time of day to, which has to be good. What was the point of all that? Oh just another plug for Metal Month II... Another idea though: a thread for Metal bands who don't sing in English? I've found some great ones in Spain and Germany, not to mention Finland, Austria, Russia, Upper Volta (just kidding about that last one. Maybe...)

I stated it before. It is really difficult for me to give much of any other kind of a music a fair shot. Every time I have. I've been let down by the lack of depth in the music. Like I also stated before. I understand that a lot of people sometimes just want music that has no point to it to listen to, all fine. But I can't bring myself to torment myself with that kind of music. I stated this before, too. I need depth in music, substance, a point, I want music where the people involved took the time, and the care to create something truly profound and special. **** music like Bastille, Lorde (can't believe that wanker won an award for best rock video, wtf...?) It isn't that I don't want to give other kinds or types of music a chance. My brain won't allow me to feel something new, out. I go to YouTube and type in the likes of say, maybe some alt/pop outfit that is all the rage currently, and every time I do I am wanting to take a hammer to my speakers because what is coming out of them sounds so damn cheesy and pathetic, that I am completely baffled why anyone would defend its definition as music! You got me ranting Trollheart. |

We got a few of those here too. But Roxy and Vanilla shall remain nameless.

So what exactly is the legal age for human sacrifice?

I would have to defend my ladies' honour here. Despite your quoted sig, neither of these whores are "ignorant or unmannerly"...
